Norway: Mette-Marit presented Holberg Award 2012

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway presented today the Holberg Award 2012 in Haakon's Hall in Bergen.

While in Bergen, Mette-Marit was supposed to visit also the exhibition "Table of Gifts - People’s Gifts to King Haakon and Queen Maud 1905-06" at Bergen Museum. Due to the strike the museum of Bergen is closed. The museum wanted to give Mette-Marit special treatment to open for just her and the press, but the castle didn't want to accept that. 'It is not appropriate for the Crown Princess to see the exhibition when the museum is closed due to strike', said the castle's communications director Marianne Hagen.
